How Million Design Labs collects, uses and protects your personal information. Last updated 29 October 2026.

Who we are

Million Design Labs ("we", "our" or "us") is a UK-based web design studio run by Emmanuel Cabural. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy, which we handle in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email info@milliondesignlabs.co.uk.

Information we collect

When you contact us

When you send our contact form, we collect your name, business name, email address, and your message. You can also choose to give us your phone number and current website address.

When you book a call

When you book a call through our Cal.com booking calendar, Cal.com collects your name, email address, the time you choose and anything you add in the booking notes, and shares these with us.

When you become a client

To build and look after your website, we collect the content and information you share with us, for example text, images and logos, through shared folders such as Google Drive and messaging channels such as WhatsApp and email. We also keep records of the work, contracts, invoices and payments, which are handled through Bonsai.

When you visit this website

Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run the site securely. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.

We do not use analytics or advertising tracking on this website.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare your free website concept and send you proposals.
  • To arrange and hold calls you book with us.
  • To design, build, host and look after your website, including Care Plan edits and check-ins.
  • To send invoices and take payments as agreed with you.
  • To keep this website secure and working properly.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your permission.

Our lawful basis

We use your information because it is necessary to respond to your enquiry and to take steps towards, or carry out, a contract with you. We also rely on our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, and on legal obligations such as keeping financial records.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run our business. They only process your information to provide their service to us:

  • Netlify: hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
  • Cal.com: handles call bookings.
  • Google: Google Fonts for this website, and Google Drive for sharing project files with clients.
  • WhatsApp: project updates and communication, where you choose to use it.
  • Bonsai: proposals, contracts, invoices and payments. Card payments are processed by Bonsai and its payment partners, so we never see or store your full card details.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where they do, they protect it with safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to a project, we keep it for 12 months and then delete it. For clients, we keep project records, contracts, invoices and payment records for 6 years after the work ends, as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Cookies

This website does not set its own cookies. The booking calendar on our contact page is provided by Cal.com and may use cookies that are needed for booking to work. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict or stop using your information, or object to how we use it;
  • ask us to send your information to another organisation.

To use any of these rights, email info@milliondesignlabs.co.uk. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
